With nicely integrated oak, medium to full-bodied richness, and a terrific sense of freshness and purity, this is another brilliant Chardonnay from this team.
92 SUCKLING- Aromas of hawthorn, smoked almond, dried apricot and dried mango. It’s full-bodied with crisp acidity. Concentrated layers of smoke and dried fruit with plenty of tension. Solid center palate. Drink or hold.
90- WINE ADVOCATE- The 2018 Chardonnay Estate Reserve Dijon Clone offers up delicate notes of baked apples, pear tart, cedar and almond croissant with a hint of allspice. The medium to full-bodied palate is packed with spicy apple and pear flavors with oaky undertones and a savory finish.

2019 Luna Chardonnay Estate Wente Clone
93 LISA PERROTTI BROWN - The 2019 Chardonnay Wente Clone leaps from the glass with vivacious lemon tart, grapefruit and green mango scents plus suggestions of struck flint, shaved ginger and yuzu with a waft of almonds. The medium tofull-bodied palate delivers intense citrus and tropical flavors with electric tension and a satiny texture, finishing long and mineral laced. Nice!
91- DUNNUCK The 2019 Chardonnay Estate Reserve Wente Clone is solid, with crisp green apple, lemon curd, and minty aromatics to go with a medium-bodied, nicely textured style on the palate. It gains richness with time in the glass and has bright acidity, plenty of mid-palate depth and richness, and a crisp finish. It should keep for 3-4 years with no problems .

2017 Luna Petit Verdot
96 DECANTER Fascinating and impressive. Plentiful aromatics show chocolate sachertore cake, while the palate is deep and driving with dark pepper and sloe fruits, elderberry, and olive tapenade.
91 GALLONI - The 2017 Petit Verdot is plump, bold and juicy. Inky blue and purplish fruit, crème de cassis, lavender, spice and white flowers give the 2017 a decidedly exotic feel to match its sumptuous, opulent personality. Although it is not especially varietal, the 2017 possesses terrific intensity and plenty of appeal, with little of the tannic heft that is often found in young Petit Verdot.
90 DUNNUCK - Starting the reds with the 2017 Petit Verdot, which was a difficult variety in 2017 as it almost always had to be harvested after the fires, it reveals a deep black color as well as black fruits, charcoal, liquid violets, and sappy green herbs aromas and flavors. Rich and full-bodied, with good freshness and polished tannins. it's a solid effort that's going to age gracefully.

2018 Luna Petit Verdot
92 WINE ADVOCATE - Opaque garnet-purple colored, the barrel sample of 2018 Petit Verdot bounds boldly out of the glass with warm blueberries, raspberry pie and kirsch notions plus hints of charcoal, garrigue and dried herbs. Medium to full-bodied with great tension and chewy tannins, it has loads of warm red berry layers and an earthy finish
90 DUNNUCK - The 2018 Petit Verdot is a juicy, slightly exotic expression of this variety offering loads of darker fruits, chocolate, sappy green herbs, and violet notes. It's rich, full-bodied, and structured on the palate, with both high acidity and high tannins. I do like the purity of fruit, and it opens up nicely with air, all pointing to a solid, age-worthy wine. I would give bottles 3-4 years and enjoy over the following decade or so.

2018 Luna Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford
94- DUNNUCK A big, sexy wine in every sense, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford reveals a dense purple hue as well as a mammoth-sized bouquet of blackcurrants, blueberries, licorice, roasted herbs, tobacco, and flowers. This carries to a full-bodied Cabernet with sweet tannins, an opulent, fleshy mouthfeel, and a great finish. Thebalance is spot on, and while it has loads of up-front appeal, my money is on it evolving for at least 15 years or so.
93-SUCKLING This has a polished nose of blueberry, praline and milk chocolate with dried leaves, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, silky tannins. Rich with a chewy finish. Try from 2023.
-
2018 Luna Cabernet Sauvignon Atlas Peak
92- DUNNUCK Lots of red and blue fruits, camphor, tobacco, cedar, and new leather notes emerge from the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Atlas Peak, a medium to full-bodied, nicely textured, balanced Mountain Cabernet. With building yet ripe tannins and a rounded, nicely balanced profile, it's going to evolve for 10-15 years.
93- SUCKLING Blueberries, shea butter, chocolate and hot stones on the nose. Lavender and praline, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, velvety tannins. Polished and smooth. Try from 2022
-
2018 Luna Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain
92 SUCKLING Spiced and poached black plums on the nose, with dried herbs, earth and grilled meat, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity. Tightly structured. Try from 2023.
92 DECANTER - Aromas of cigar smoke, red pepper flakes, black liquorice and smoldering dark fruits. The texture falls squarely in the middle of the tannic, hard-edged Howell Mountain Cabernets of old and newer, showier offerings.
91+ DUNNUCK Lots of black and blue fruits, asphalt, violets, and sappy herb notes emerge from the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain. Medium to full-bodied, it has a tight, compact yet pure, layered mouthfeel, plenty of tannins, and outstanding length. It's nicely balanced, yet it needs 3-5 years of bottle age to integrate its tannins, and it should keep well for 10-15 years or so.

2017 Luna Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
93 GALLONI - The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Black Label is a big, powerful wine. Inky and voluptuous in the glass with generous jammy fruit, sweet oak and spice notes, the 2017 is not exactly subtle, but it is quite tasty. The flamboyant style will naturally appeal most to readers who like big, full-throttle Cabernets. All the elements just fall into place effortlessly.
92 Dunnuck - Including 5% Merlot, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Black Label offers a spicy bouquet of blackcurrants, new leather, dried flowers, and chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, nicely textured, and balanced on the palate, it’s going to keep for 15-20 years.
-
2018 Luna Petite Sirah
94 DUNNUCK Jammy blueberries, blackberries, asphalt, licorice, herbes de Provence, and saddle leather notes all emerge from the 2018 Petite Sirah, a ripe, full-bodied Petite Sirah that brings serious fruit yet stays nicely balanced. It's certainly a joy to drink and I see no need to delay gratification, even if it's going to keep for 10-12 years.
-
2018 Luna Canto Red Blend
93 DUNNUCK The estate’s take on a super Tuscan, the 2018 Red Blend Canto is based on 50% Sangiovese (Oakville), 30% Merlot (Howell Mountain), and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon. Bright black cherry and blackberry fruit as well as ample spice, new leather, and dried herb notes give way to a medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced wine that has a great mid-palate, a seamless mouthfeel, and incredibly polished tannins. This is a rocking Sangiovese blend that's going to evolve

2019 Luna Sauvignon Blanc
90- WINE ADVOATE The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc rolls effortlessly out of the glass with notes of fresh nectarines, passion fruit and guava plus hints of lemon tart, honeysuckle and struck flint. Medium-bodied, the palate has a compelling oiliness to the texture and is jam-packed with tropical and citrus fruit flavors, finishing on a chalky note
90- SUCKLING Aromas of green apple, grapefruit and freshly cut grass on the nose. It’s medium-bodied with bright, tangy acidity. Refreshing citrus flavors. Light finish.

2019 Luna Estate Pinot Grigio
91 SUCKLING A medium-bodied white with aromas and flavors of fresh pear, waxed lemon, almond and wet stone. Crisp and refreshing with lovely minerality
